the only thing that makes me sad is that most of the 2,000 were young kids our age. another 2,000 will most likely die in this war.
I can say I hate Bush, his right wing chronies, The US media. Infact everything that comes out of the U.S.'s right is B.S.
Hell I'm not even convinced that Bush/Cheney didn't plan 9/11.
That aside.
The US soldiers dying is very sad. THey are people who love there country, think they are fighting for a just cause. They need to be celebrated, and honoured.
This mentality of hating the soldiers is exactly the same BS that happened in Vietnam.
ITS NOT THE SOLDIER'S FAULTS!!!!!

we call me weird then, but if someone was threatening my country and i believed it was a just cause, id volunteer and go too..
I MAKE BALLER CARS MORE BALLER.....
^ this was a pre-emptive strike, they were never threat to the US. first it was the WMD hiding in train cars, labs.... then they were there to liberate the iraqi people.. i'm sure there is another excuse here..
youre right, but, oops, iraq never threatened the usa...Originally posted by civic_stylez

in fact, the usa threatened them, then invaded their country.
^ yea, i would take issue if any country just walked into mine because they thought it was the right thing to do. dunno, if i would bomb them, but i wouldn't want them there.
Only issue for me if my country was attacked, would be is if the plane is big enough to fit this bomb.
im not refering to iraq, sputnik was just saying that its the soldiers fault for being there..if it was a just cause and canada was in direct threat, i would go and fight..im not going anywhere cause a liberal tells me too!! in the military, if you refuse to go, you go to the brig and military prisons are not a nice place..

hmm yeah but you were talking about volunterring to go , not a "liberal telling you to go" clear as mudOriginally posted by civic_stylez

Isn't there an episode of Boston Legal where a family wanted to sue the ameriacan goverment because their brother was a soldier in Iraq. He did is 6 month tour of duty and was suppose to get pulled out but the goverment kept him in and then he got killed.
I heard of that happening or where there was a soldier who did his 6 months, got pulled out and when the government tried to put him back in he said no and then fled to Canada.
the guy said he lost the will to fight on behalf of his country and how horrible it was over there.
Independent media is a fancy word for "opinion"Originally posted by Breakthesilence
The need for an independent media is greater today than any other point in history.
That being said, your "opinion" on the war is extremely one sided, and deserves no consideration.
Well at least that's what my independent media sources are reporting anyway.......

It also sucks for the tens of thousands of innocent civilian's killed and the tens of thousands injured in Iraq
ah yes the american government.
support a country, then invade it later and kill thousands of its populace...
it's like a cruel joke.

I started to, but is is hard to take it serious when they Mispelled the word seem. In the title no less. I'm not one to pick on spelling mistakes (lord knows I make them all the time) but there is a big difference in a quickly typed post in a forum and a self proclaimed "news source"
