Well I know that.. I've done that, but that shot was done with his IR body by the looks of it... Just curious how he got the colors so true..

Hmm, it looks like a Hue to Target effect. That's what I would have used, but he might have a different method. Hue to Target is fantastic because it preserves shading and contrast. For example, if you used Hue to Target on a white area, it stays white. However, it turns grey into the chosen colour.

Yeah, it was shot in IR, that's why everyone in the top corner looks like they're wearing all white. Uneditted, the lady's clothing came out all white too, even though in actuality she was wearing like dark grays and blues.

All I did was duplicate the layers, one for the scarf and one for her coat. Then I colorized each layer in Hue/Saturation (blue for the scarf, red/pink for the coat) and erased the parts I didn't need. Then adjusted the levels in each layer to give it some depth in her clothing.

I was also made her pants yellow too, but it made her ass look fat

Holy Turnaround Time, Batman! That's ridiculous!

Have other people had to wait that long? I'm looking at buying a DSLR after Christmas, and if I get a used unit, I'd like to have it cleaned. That wait could dampen my enthusiasm for Canon products considerably...

No, no, no. His main camera was sent away for cleaning, and it was 6 weeks until he got it back! Hence why all of his shots have been IR ones lately.

Well, this thread is a little slow this month.

    Today's theme:
"The best picture I can take without leaving my computer chair."

I'm not quite sure whether I like what I did to this one, but this is a retouch of a photo I took way back at the CAIS. I was attempting to stylize it somewhat close to TurboMiata's signature style. (I failed, obviously, but this is the result.) I'm just not sure if it's too garish, what do you guys think?

Just picked up a new EF 50mm f/1.8 and a set of Kenko Tubes... And I am lovin' them both (also picked up a Lensbaby, which will take awhile to master)

    My $0.25 cents:

Yeah, it's more of a stylish/artistic image than a legit bit of photography.

DJ Lazy: How do you like the Lensbaby so far? I'd never heard of it before, and it looks to be an interesting bit of equipment! Can you ajdust the size of the "in-focus" area? My only complaint from looking at some sample images would be that the in-focus area is a bit small, and the images seem rather soft.
