    Default Command Start 2400 cold weather autostart

    Hello: I am working on my sister's van that has a Command Start 2400/2500 in it.

    We are using the remote to disable the cold weather autostart feature. with the following procedure:

    ==============================
    to turn off cold temp start:
    1 = Push button I
    2 = Push button II before it starts
    3 = Push both buttons until the lights flash. 3 = on and 4 = off
    ===============================

    Now all that happens when we press both buttons is the parking lights flash 10 times.

    Does anyone know what this means? And what to do next?

    Pushing both buttons on the remote is usually the trunk release. The unit flashes the parklights 10 times to confirm. Why 10???
    I guess that's all the fingers the engineer had at that time

    If the unit will not program the cold weather mode on or off, this feature may have to be turned on in the programming sequence.

    Ah, I wonder if I am not pressing the buttons fast enough...

    Do you have the programming guide for the 2400/2500 boxes?

    Also, is there a way to have the CS "read out" (playback mode) the current programming via the park lights, so I can verify the settings, before I screw it up?

    Do you know if it is a 2400 or 2500.
    Easiest way to tell is to turn the car off after it is started by remote, 2400 = Press Button I
    2500 = Press button I then Button II.
    I have the program guides for both if you need them.

    The 2500 has a playback mode, but only after you go through the programming sequence. (Lotta good that does )

    PM me with your email address and I can send out a guide for you.
    Thanks
