    Default fs: Mazda MX3 modded

    1994 Mazda MX3

I am reunited, so I am selling it again in time for spring!

    List of Mods:

    Interior:
    Full Roll cage
Corbeau Racing seats CR1's (2nd most expensive)
    4 Point harnesses
    Carbon fiber look dash kit
Momo Shift knob, steering wheel, e-brake handle
    Gutted Rear

    Exterior:
    Miata rims
    Front lip
Fresh grey paint job (nearly flawless)
    Window and sunroof moulds

    Engine:
    2.5L V6
    Cams and Cam gears
    port and polish
    K&N Intake
Magnaflow exhaust (I know, Japanese car but don't laugh it sounds awesome)
    Fidanza Clutch

    Suspension and Brakes:
    Adjustable coil overs
    Cross drilled rotors all around
    Calipers to match
    Rear Sway bar

    Audio:
    Pioneer Deck
    Infinity Kappa 5.25 in front
    Infinity Kappa 6x9's
Infinity 2x10 Basslink or if you can talk me into it 2x12 MTX with amp (pictured but I want to keep them)

    Misc:
    Wheel locks
    Alarm and remote locks

How fast, its as fast as a brand new boxster, and really close with a stock SRT-4. The suspension is stiff but not overly taxing, but corners very very well with the stiffness of rollcage and sway bar.

I will provide any information I can, feel free to call 780-242-4626, I don't sleep much so call whenever.

This car is pretty much perfect. I surprisingly good fuel mileage (40L tank takes you about 400km's). Its priced like a honda, gets the almost same gas mileage, but if you look to performance, reliability, and economics it's hard to beat.

It needs a windsheild washer fluid reservior but all the electronics and tubes are there. Needs a the bar to hold up the hood. I need to run a wire for the horn. Other than that I can't think of anything that this car could need, and I cannot forsee anything happening to this car mechanically for years. A give away at this price.

    Price: $13,600 obo

Car will be hitting the autotrader in the next week. Car has hit the autotrader.. http://www.canadatrader.com/result/d...4&pgno=1&srt=1

I have been in this car and let me tell you that it is immaculate inside and out. The paint job is just stunning. Its a stock s2000 color isn't it?? Beautiful carbon fibre interior panels. Fast? you betcha. i have rode in this and he is not lying when he says its as fast as a new boxter, it was my friends '05 boxter and this mx3 ran with it basically until 4th gear when the boxter pulled slightly.

As for the guy selling this car, couldn't be a better guy to deal with. I have known him many years and trust me when I say he wouldn't steer anyone wrong. $11k for this car is an amazing steal. If you are interested at all, take this car for a rip and you will see.

    Thanks for the bump!

Yeah this car is pretty quick for what it is, and the price. It hasn't been to the track so I don't have a 1 /4 mile time for ya.

Its hitting the autotrader this thursday, but I'd rather sell it to a fellow beyonder. I'd probably give a beyonder a better deal but I still need this car gone! I'll post the link for the ad in the autotrader when I have it.

Why does it have a roll cage? Was this car Turbo Last Year?

Yeah, it was stolen. I got it back though and the people that stole the car hardly drove it; they drove it about 300km's. It's still in perfect condition surprisingly.

The car has a rollcage primarily for safety but has other benefits. The rollcage provides lots of stiffness for the whole frame as it's attatched, which helps handling. It also adds to the effect of the car as it's "hardcore" and makes it feel like you're in a pretty serious car, which it is.

For being such a serious car, I'm curious to know some dyno numbers, I may have someone interested.

I'd love to be able to tell you but I've never had the car dyno'd. Come for a rip in the car, you'll get the idea!

I have too much power for first gear (or too little tire, whichever you choose). After about 3500rpm the tach rockets towards 7k which means its time to shift. Even when the tires hook up the tach needle does the same thing but the sensation is much different.

I wish I could effectively communicate the engine but I don't seem to be able to. With such a light car, lightened flywheel and the cams there is torque everywhere. At 2500rpm in 4th gear I can still gain a car length in traffic in ~1 second with about 20% throttle.

The engine is so smooth its so much fun to drive, and really easy. I have never driven with anyone that was not impressed with the car. Come check it out.
