    Default Hard drive failure?

I was transfering a file to my storage hard drive and my computer locked up. I restarted but now i can no longer access my storage drive. I get an error saying its inaccessable or corrupt. Checked all the connections and they are good. it shows up in the bios and everything. I tried running a data recovery program on it and it says the drive contains 0 files.
The drive is a Seagate and only few months old. So is the drive hooped or could it be something else? Id like to get my files off it but most of them are replaceable.

    Probably crapped out...
You can try a program like On-Track but its fairly pricey...
Go to Segate's website and download their diagnostic tool from their Support section. Run a full scan on the drive.
