It would have been better if they had to pay him a regular fee; monthly, bi monthly, semi annually, annually, etc... because right now he'll get the million, and once it is used up he has nothing.
If you have money than you should buy as many of the remaining pixels as you can and then when there are no more available sell the rights to yours on eBay for $3 each. According to the testimonials this is great for traffic and sales so you'll likely get the money. And if you have decency you'll give me %30 for the idea. It might be your money but it's my idea.
