A reminder about sigs (filesize + dimensions)

I'm guilty of this myself as SOMEBODY owned my sig today
Please remember to check the FILESIZE of all images/.gif animations that you are putting in your sig.
I just recently removed a sig that was...get this....3.78mb in size! That is WAY too big.

And remember that dimensions are not to exceed 600 pixels wide x 200 pixels in height.
Having multiple images that total more than 600 pixels in height will also result in your sig being removed.

Having an extremely large sig does nothing but slow down the site for everybody else so keep that in mind.

Yes, I killed your sig cuz it slowed down my laptop. Its getting ridiculous, I think I may have to implement a ban on "video" sigs since common sense doesn't seem to work. I've killed a few 3 - 4MB animated gifs lately as well.

i'd say so... its not a multi-meg animated gif and it is within the pixel x pixel requirements...

There have been NUMEROUS sigs in the past couple days that I have deleted because they exceed the allowed filesize.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHECK THE FILE SIZE OF YOUR SIGNATURE BEFORE POSTING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've warned a few of the same people on numerous occasions to watch their sig size. Both file size as well as dimensions. If the file size is within reason I'm not picky but the last few 1MB plus animations have been canned. Also, keep in mind the width. 800pixels across is a bit excessive.

If you keep disregarding my requests, we can disable your ability to have one, thus my problem is solved.
