CompuStar 2W8000FMR Alarm Problem
hey guys, I have a Compustar 2w8000fmr fm paging alarm system for my 98 dodge dakota truck. i purchased the system and had it installed 8 months ago, 2 months after getting it the facia on the screen was damaged on the remote, the LCD underneath is completely unharmed. The device has worked perfectly up until last week. the lock/unlock symbol in the bottom right hand corner doesn't appear on the remote anymore, it will still lock and unlock the vehicle, but it won't indicate weather or not it is locked or unlocked. Does anyone know how to go about fixing this? the company where i purchased the alarm from are being total jerks and trying to tell me that there is physical damage to the remote and that is why it's not working, however, it has worked perfectly fine with facia damage over the past 6 months.
any input would be greatly appreciated.
how can you have such an ackward size/shaped remote in your pocket and not expect a bit of facia damage? physical abuse my ***
