Need Cell Phone Advice

Well right now I'm getting pretty sick and tired of my rogers pay as you go cell phone plan and wanted to change to either a monthly rogers or fido contract. I was looking at some of the cheaper plans with unlimited incoming such as:

Fido:
100weekday
1000evening/weekend
evening start @ 7pm
unlimited incoming
billing by the second
$25/month

Rogers have had some advertisements for:
100weekday
1000evening/weekend
evenings start @ 8pm
unlimited incoming
for 25$/month

Right now Fido seems to be better because of the billing by the second (with my rogers pay as you go, if I make a call and no one answers that counts as a minute).

I know that rogers has bought out Fido so I should be expecting very similiar reception and etc but I was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback on which plan is the best, if you have had any positive/negative experiences with either one, and etc. I'm just looking for something with decent minutes as cheap as possible.

You can always ask for corporate plans too, depending on where you work they have different plans for different corporations

I've been with Rogers for close to 10 years now. Not alot of probs, sometimes reception sucks in certain places, that's about it.

The fido plan is obviously better.

You can pay an extra $5 on Fido and have your evenings start @ 5pm instead of 7pm.

Well I heard it has quite a bit more hidden fees, my friend who has the same plan ends up paying like 45$ a month because Fido charges the 7$ access fee then charge for using rogers or something really stacks up.

I am not sure if Rogers has the same thing though, Rogers doesnt even have that plan on their website.

There are no hidden fees. $7.00 access fee is charged by every cell provider in Canada. You do not need to use the Rogers access unless you plan on going out into the remote wilderness.

definately per-billing with fido will save you alot more out of those 2 plans

Cool, thanks for the advice guys. I'll go talk to a rogers person today and then someone from fido, but I'll probably go with fido

go wit hfido the ychrage by the second not by the moinute liek rogers...

well i mean it u dont midn that the nether is fine lol
i just switched from rogers to fido.. so im ok right now... lol

Telus has much better coverage and you can get the same plans with them. I hear too many horror stories from Rogers.
