Boxing day sales on family plans?

I wanted to get 2 cell phones for the 'rents on a family plan. I checked out the websites, and I'm open to either of telus, bell, or rogers. (but I think I'm leaning towards telus bcoz they're already with telus right now + the coverage is good in my area).

Does anyone know of any places that are offering freebies when I sign up with a 1 or 2 year contract?

Also, any recommendations on phones? or which ones to stay away from? (They don't need anything fancy)
