Default Sledding Weekend B.C. - Pics

Day 1 - Eagle Pass, 14" or powder and good base w/ 1 hr of sunlight
    Day 2 - Crowfoot, 5" of powder w/ 3 hrs of sunlight
Day 3 - Owls Head, 12" of powder w/ clouds all day

    Rev Impressions:
    -I like it a lot
    -Feels light
-Even w/ wide ski stance and narrow skis, boondocking and sidehilling are easier then my 01 151
    -Suspension is great
-gets up and out of powder as good as my 151
    -great stand up riders position
    -Predictable in the air.

-Footwells get plugged w/ snow as badly as ZX version
    -Windshield is flimsy
-New ridding position takes a few hours to become comfortable with.

I was boincing along in a field w/ the Rev ~40-50km/h and I came onto a hole. There wasn't enough time to stop so I gassed it hoping to get the ski's onto the other side. I nailed the other side and stopped very fast, going through the windshield and nailing my upper leg in the handle bar as well as hurting my wrist. We got it out ok, but I just wish the ws had been made to break off instead of break.

We found a nice powdery field and I was doing some left-right carves. Some ppl might know that it's possible to get a sled to rise out of one carve and into another and a bouncy left-right rhythm gets going. Anyway, the Rev was much better at this then my ZX 151 and I felt much more under control.

Thats so sweet........ I am very Jealous. I went out this winter for my first snowmobile trip in over 8 years and I have a blast. We had 700 Summits.... Nice Trail Machines. I really like those revs though..... and would consider buying one if I could afford to take the sport up. Nice pics too.....

Cool. Summits are not made for the trail though, so you'd really be impressed by a real trail machine if you rode one.

Yea, a new Summit Rev is $12,000

They were a bit lanky at times, but compared to the Polaris Machines I used to drive in Ontario, they were not too bad. But for somone like yourself who rides a lot I am sure you know your gear..... We just did a guided tour out by Fairmont, so thats all they had to use....

Do you own the sleds/ a sled or do you go on tours....??

I want to plan a trip somtime next winter for a sleding vacation?

I was riding the same summit as the one in your group....

    The Whole Group...

I own my own sled, and I've been mtn riding for 7 years.
We don't really go on sledding vacations though. Usually with a group that knows an area for a weekend. www.calgarysnowmobileclub.net

Revy, Golden, Fernie are all good.
I was riding some new Polaris' this weekend too and they are no worse then the Doo's.
Anyway, make sure you take some pics on your next ride.

Looking at those pictures make me cry.

I used to have a 99 Formula S and I loved that thing to death....had to sell it though when I came down to Calgary for school.

Haven't been riding in over four years....you be LUCKY!
