Very nice, and looks like very time consuming as well

Where does a person go to get these
"Vaxes"?
The Only "VAX" I was able to find was an electric floor polisher, for commercial use.
Thanks man.
IF the VAX isn't available, is there any suitable replacement?

I assume you're not joking when you say that... he means "wax."Originally posted by Graham_A_M

i did this last year with my intake manifold. couple hours and a 6 pack, hand polished with different sand paper from canadian tire. it looks even more polished now because i got metal polish and did it a bit more.
2 doors and 4 rings
found a newer pic after a couple more mods. hand polished with canadian tire sand paper and then metal polish

when it says "VAX" in several places, I'm guessing its not a typo.Originally posted by BerserkerCatSplat

It says WAX in some places and VAX several times in other, I honestly dont think he meant wax if it was constantly spelt vax in about 6 different times.

well judging by the way he said some of the sentences it seems he has broken english of maybe asian nationality or whatnot and wax comes out as vax and sounds the same. I think i could safely assume wax and vax is the same thing or maybe i'm wrong is there a product called vax?

What kind of metal Polish did you use?Originally posted by VWhooligan

You can use either a die grinder, or a rotory tool. Either will help speed up the process due to the faster rotation over a drill.Originally posted by BerserkerCatSplat
Wow, he got excellent results!
I would have used a die grinder instead of a drill, though. He mentioned breaking his first drill, and I suspect a die grinder would get things done a bit faster.
You are correct. He is not refering to a wax, but a metal polish. Vax is a brand of metal polish. You don't want to wax something like this. The heat of the engine will do wax no good. What is required is a metal polish, and a sealant. Most decent autoparts stores (ie. NOT Canadian Tire) will have metal polish, one for cutting the surface, and one for the final polish. I also recommend using a product called ZOOPS Seal once you're done, as it prevents oxidation of the metal, and will keep the shine longer.Originally posted by Graham_A_M
