PSP Questions

I just bought a PSP off a buddy... don't know how to use it. He said that you can download movies onto a memory card. I am planning on picking up a 1gig or 2gig. But how do I download the movies? I normally use torrentspy to download movies to me HD. Do I have to convert the movies so they can be played on the PSP? and if so what program do I use? Tired to look on Sony.com but they are not much help... haha I wonder why? So if anyone can help me out that would be great!

what's that? what does it do? do I download it to my computer or to the psp?

You download it to your computer, you choose the movie and convert it to a different format. When thats done you connect your psp and then just transfer the movie over. Takes quite a bit of time to convert the movie though

yeah psp video 9 is pretty decent

and its free. juss give it time you can select your on quality and profiles of conversion pretty neat!

so I went to google and searched this psp video 9... on the site it says something about that I have to use it with a different program... videora? Do I need this as well or the psp video 9 is all I need?

ImToo PSP Converter is a really easy to use program too, theres different versions for ipod and psp's but its fast and simple and you can choose the quality of the video ---> smaller size to fit on your card

Memory Stick Duo, doesn't matter who makes it as long as it's a DUO and not a regular Memory stick.

internet is on 2.0 and higher, but imho it's useless, especially when you need to work the dpad like crazy to type words. its good that it's wi-fi though . But seriously you don't want to search the web on such a small screen and you will have troubles controlling the cursor and typing in urls/text

best bet is to downgrade to 1.5 and play homebrew and other stuff

you CANNOT downgrade from version 2.01 and up so if you upgraded beyond 2.0, you're SOL.

but ya, use psp 9 to convert avi to wutever format sony uses.. mp4 i think

also your question about mem cards..

get the sandisk version, its like 4 to 5x faster than the fastest sony mem sticks and the 1 gig version is like 70 bux at cosco

unfortunately i bought the gigapack and it takes about 8 mins to transfer 800 megs to the mem stick while it takes my bud about 2 mins
