You WILL be ticketed for Yellow Headlights. You will get away with it for who knows how long. It depends on the car and how much attention you draw to yourself, the officer and a few otehr factors.

I got pulled over about 2 hours after installing them, but have had close friends drive for a year+ with no issues...

it sounds funny when you are buying yellow film for the lenses and it says there is a 5 year warrantee against yellowing

Yellow tinted housings is for ricers. The only proper way to get yellow light these days is to get dichroic yellow coating.

the yellow looks pretty wicked but tinting the housing will look absolutely retarded, and probably wont turn out the way you want it to, like jeff said youll have to get it dichroic coated, but if i were you ide just get yellow hids, you cant go wrong that way and itll give you the 'agressive' look you want at night

u could probly dye the color if u have a big enough pot...that might be the best way...then u dont have to worry about the film peeling and falling off

Bringing this thread back from the dead cause I did it today. Got them done at Shadow Tint for $50... they used a yellow tinted film that is meant for headlights so they will not peel, and are fairly think enough to handle rocks. I had the lights off of the car, so it took them only a few hours... and I think they look hot... flame me if u want, its still my car and I do whatever I want with it... at night, the road lights up a faint yellow, but looking at the headlight itself, it just looks like a 4300K HID (6000K HID's in there currently)...

I am one of those close friends, and yes, I'm trying my luck with it again... if I get in trouble, I can just peel it off
