~photoshopped headlight ideas

Just wanted somebody's opinion and knowledge on this. Im lookin for a change in the look of my headlights on my civic. I currently have silver stars, but im really getting into the yellow look. Ive photoshopped an original pic of my car, and wondered the legality issues (not most important) and other safety issues, regarding mostly covering the turn signal light with a coloured film. Or just going with some hid's. But any opinions on this would be a big help!

Half yellow~

Full yellow (id guess i would only get that look with clear turn lenses)~

The yellow would look awesome for a black car. For legality i would assume it would be fine because after all yellow light actually the safest light and since it is legal as a fog why not as headlights

There is a guy in my area with a jetta w/yellow headlights, and it looks hawt. But i swear, ive heard that having yellow headlights is illegal, regardless of the better vision in cruddy weather.

for the yellow, is it just the bulb or the headlight plastic. i like the half yellow. i was thinking of getting yellow bulbs but dident know if it would be cool.

Yellow is not legal. You will be ticketed almost immediately.

Send some money and get a good HID job instead.

Are you referring to the jetta owners lights? I think the lenses are tinted.

Anyone know where i can get some coloured film for this job?

Are you just getting film to cover the lenses? or you doing yellow bulbs. im in this with u bud, i have been thinking about the same thing.

Haha, lets do it up. Im thinkin yellow film (like the 3m kind, or tint film, you know what i mean).

yeah, i know its kinda getto, but i was looking on ebay to see if they had pre cut kits, and they do for some cars but i couldent see ours. i did though find some nice yellow bright 5600k bulbs.

The only problems ive seen with doing the bulbs, is you get a cheaper look. I really like yellow lenses.

yeah? i saw a civic the other day with yellow bulbs and it was so bright and crazy, but im not sure if he had the lenses as well? do u think it will shine that yellow with just a bit of yelllow film. do you think it would look dumb on my car

Yellow bulbs are around 3000 K.

Yea, it might be a bit touger deciding what parts of your headlight assembly to make yellow just because of the design, whereas the 2006, there isnt parts of the headlight that has nothing behind it. I dont know if that makes any sence. Tell ya what, you do yellow lights, ill do yellow lenses. lol, deal?

Ive seen some yellow bulbs for sale on the net before, but then i saw comparison tests, and most of them just look like really really shitty halogens. But some looked really good. I guess it just depends what brand. And somehow, for some dumb reason, they are illegal.
