no body has one or knows anyone with one?
that is some crazy ass shit!
I don't own a car i just rent one on my days off and send the bill to my boss. hahaha
It's not a domestic car!!! It's Korean, made by Daewoo. I haven't driven one so I can't make a comment. Interior seems cheap but functional. Seats 5 compared to the Echo hatch's 4.
They are cheap as hell, new and have warranty....probably not something youll get a good opinion about on an enthusiasts' site.
I SURE hope you're kidding. They're sold under those nameplates, but made by Daewoo. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole, but Daewoo may have improved, haven't heard anything recent about them.

Why the hell do you call me a tool if YOU are the one who is at fault? All three are built in the same plant by the same people in the same country - they just slapped different badges on them. Check for yourself (GOOGLE!) before calling people names.Originally posted by handsomebassman
Two out of the three cars are domestic you tool.
Randomly saying "domestic sucks" is not the right answer to this post. The original poster was just asking for honest opinions, and if you have something to offer other than a blanket statement, by all means post. Otherwise, please shut up.
Don't judge a car by its badge.Originally posted by handsomebassman

They are made in Korea, along with the Chevy Epica. No clue how quality is, if they've kept up with their fellow Korean manufacturers.
Other examples of people jumping on cars because of their badge:
"Pontiac waves suck! I'm going to get a Toyota Matrix!"
"Saab 9-2x's are GM heaps of Junk. I'm going to check out a WRX wagon instead"
... little do they know
no, two of the three cars have domestic NAMES, you toolOriginally posted by handsomebassman

... And suzuki swift? Do you mean Areo?
Yes, it's actually the Swift+ (note the PLUS), as it's different from the Swift which is not sold here. The Aerio is Suzuki's home-grown product.Originally posted by bspot

Aside from the Aveo, the Swift+ and the Wave are hardly promoted, it seems...
You meant Pontiac Vibe. Or the Toyota Voltz if you want the JDM name.Originally posted by bspot

just curious ,
things that i have noticed from test drives are :
no power from the engine that has poor feul economy for it's size.
roomy interior easy to clean plastic and plain but comfy seats
a lil on the slopy side as far as shifting the 5 spd
easy to park and fairly nimbile
a decent - good all around communter car with a good warentee

They are releasing a new one for 2007 as well FYI. Google image search it.
Mike
They serve their purpose as very cheap transportation well. There are better options for the price.

This is a decent car to get if you want brand new and something that you can just throw things into and drive around town... an appliance if you will. Generally Koreans have the power and fuel economy figures about a generation or two behind that of the Japanese - I mean, the Aveo's power output and economy is not that much different from a 10 year old Hyundai Accent. If basic transportation is what you're looking for, it's not a bad deal.Originally posted by ole dsm

However, I would also think about a used Echo hatch... you get similar room, better build quality, standard ABS but one seat less.
A new Aveo is coming soon - it was announced at the Shanghai Auto show last year. http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...20/044226.html
My fiance drives an Aveo. Its been great reliable and cheap transportation for her. Not everyone cares about horsepower and performance. Alot of people just want to get from point A to point B. She is one of them.
I was skeptical at first, but interior on these little cars are pretty spacious. Alot more room in the hatch and back seat than in my mustang that's for sure. Great for going to get the groceries/daily shit.
I can't really think of anything bad to say about it except that it's obviously quite slow.
"She takes premium dude! PREMIUM!!! DUDE!!!!"
Wait for the Honda Fit. The multiple seat configuration give it more storage than an Accord. I'm quite impressed.
