PistonHeads is reporting via AutoCar (the print version) that the model, to be called the 335i, is actually twin turbocharged and will develop an extra 72 bhp over the naturally aspirated 330i’s 3.0L six cylinder. That would peg the 335i's power meter at about 330 bhp, just 13 units of equinous energy shy of the last M3’s 3.2L six.

“The turbos will be fitted so that one works at lower engine speeds to boost low-end torque, while the other picks up higher up the rev rang,” says PistonHeads.

The next M3, for what BMW faithful are really biding their time, should feature a 4.0L V8 producing 400 hp when it finally arrives.

dont really like it much...rear end looks huge, front end isnt too bad, except for those squared off openings on the front air dam. the car is round and more curvy than squared, why put squared vents in the front...?

look at chester's side view, or any 3-series e46 for that matter.

The reason they look so good is the wheel placement, they are close to the outside.

look at the e92, there is too much overhang. argh

^^ Yes, to me it looks too black in the wheel wells, and that reflector on the mirror doesn't look quite right either...
Look at the far mirror too - there is some sharp white space around it and the reflector color doesn't match either...

    Wow .. 330HP .. damn ...

And for sure it will sell way less then today M3 ...

    so .. probaby between $60K 330Ci and $80K M3 price ..

    $70K should be a safe bet ..

    decision decision ...

It doesn't look like it has any more overhang to me?

How is it possible that BMW can make the coupe look even uglier than the sedan.

    I know

I love every angle of the E46 coupe. I can't say the same for the E92

i'm not too fond of the front of the new coupe. That short stubby-wedged look doesn't catch m attention. It doesn't have that "wide and bold" wide shoulder look. Something like Chester's BMW.
