Default How 2 remove "static" and white dust ?

Hi, when I was washing and polishing my car yesterday, I came across a problem. It seems that my car had "static"
You know, it attracts DUST ! Like when you put your hand near it, your hair will be attracted to the car. Is there anyway to remove off this "static" from the car? Is this normal?

Then this morning I found my car covered with little white specks of dust that seems to be the residue of yesterday waxing session. How would you recommend to remove off these dust.
By wiping, will it scratch the car as I will be dragging the dust over my car paintwork.
    Any better methods to suggest?

    Thanks.

You can actually get the static strip installed somewhere on your car that it is not very visual. They are supposed to work really good, but I agree they are ugly as shit.

I saw this thing on Fox's The Pulse tv show. When your fueling up, you can give static electric shocks to the pump and it can go on fire! pretty crazy stuff.

If that happens to you though, leave the pump in the car and it will burn out. If you pull out and it's on fire you'll create a huge flame thrower and that is when people get hurt......

I doubt that will happen, but just incase, use non-static cloths like was mentioned above.

Haha okie ... but by using a cloth won't it drag the dirt over the car and scratch the paint?

Use the nonstatic cloths, and if you still have dust, just try using a california duster.

I'm not sure what they are called everywhere else, but I use a "California Duster" which is great just before show n' shines for getting the last dust off . . . it has a static/waxy faxtor to it that attracts the dust from the car. Works great for my purposes!
