Rabbits blood. If you manage to get it back out of all the cracks as well. It repels brake dust, and when it sticks, it is really easy to get off.

And the Michelin Brake Dust Repellent works amazing as well. Its not to pricey either.

He wants recommendations for wheel cleaners, not tire gels.

    Get Meguiars Hot Rims spray.

I tried that and it's really crap and i honestly would not buy that again. My friend hated it too. Any Eagle one product is worth it IMO. I know use an old tooth brush with soap and water to get everything out.

I bought a bottle of Meg. Hot Rims last year for my Focals, didn't work too well.
I believe this is mainly for polished rims, not meant for anything flat in color such as powdercoated or something like a simple silver rim. The stuff did really look good, but after a few hours it just wore right off by sitting in the sun.

I tried some of the Eagle products and they worked absolutely wicked.

Another option if you wanna save some money, use Windex All Purpose Cleaner, it actually works really good. My friend uses it on his Tenzo's all the time and they always come out lookin blingin!

Yeah Michelin stuff can be bought at Canadian Tire...I've seen it in the flyers. Is it actually good?

I loved the Meguiars stuff. Works great on getting the brake dust off my lips before I hand clean the wheels.

We used to use simple green all the time. Works great on light and moderately dirty rims, but on heavy stains it is a bit weak...

    Eagle 1 A2Z is amazing.

if you want to make your life a bit easier, before you mount your wheels for the summer, apply a few coats of wax of sealant on them. It makes cleaning them so much easier.

I used to clay my wheels and put 2 coats of NuFinish on my rims and i NEVER had a problem cleaning them - just the left over soapy water that was in the pail after i finished washing the car and a separate wash mit for wheels only and i was good to go.

You could also use Meguiar's #20 synthetic sealant or their new NXT wax. I always figured that using a synthetic was better for wheels since you're not re-waxing them every few weeks.

Eagle One A2Z is one of the top wheel cleaners out there. It works awesome and is safe on most wheel finishes.

Most of Meguiar's wheel cleaners lag quite a bit behind Eagle One's, and the one in the purple spray bottle (Hot Rims?) can discolor brake calipers, so watch out. (its acidic too)

P21S makes a super gentel wheel cleaner that just eats brakes dust. But I think you have to order it online
