Job Hunting Sux!!!!!

I have been to like 43 Dealerships around Calgary and they all say the same thing, "To slow right now, not hiring. Maybe get a call end of March begining of April." I am getting really bored not working. You would think it would be easy for a 2nd Year Automotive Tech Apprentice to find something in this city, but nooo

. Oh well all I can do is wait for phone call from one of them.

Tell me about it, job hunting does suck...

There's a career fair at the roundup centre today. Not sure if anyone worthwhile will be there, but may be worth a shot.

Hmm, doesn't look too promising. Though, doesn't hurt to get your name in with a few head hunters which will be there. Steer clear of bernard haldane though. They'l find you a job, but it will also cost you 5 grand.

yeah I talked with those con-artists last year ... what a joke.

I have my name in with most of the good headhunters already. They all say it's pretty slim pickin's right now, but expect some movement come april.

Maybe I'll go put in an application at 7-eleven in the mean time

It is slow, thats the thing. At least they are not lieing to you. We have about 20 techs, and by 2:00 every day they are ready to go home.

Yeah, I stopped by. It sucked. Dropped off a resume at a couple of the head hunters, paid 7 bucks for parking...that's about it.
