Open Networks
I am browsing and surfing and posting with my Laptop and Wireless Lan card in the parking lot of Future Shop, No password or other fiddling with the config, Does anyone have a list or map of open Lans in Calgary?
Have to try the kids school next, they are wireless too.

U of C has an open network for public usage too, not sure how strong their network is to use from outdoors, but give it a shot

strathcona-tweedsmuir school uses wireless..

Eh, you can drive around residental areas and find people with wireless routers. No one (aside from rage2) is smart enough to setup their wireless security properly.
Too bad they don't realize that they can have they're computer jacked by someone from outside.

Haha thats pretty good, Macleod is nice, pretty much constant internet access haha. The U of C network is still being built, it works really good in ICT and I know they were testing it in Science A and B (saw the guy with laptop checkign signal strength). Not sure where else it has expanded to now though.

I am setup for wireless. I still haven't tried it out. It kind of snuck up on me, I had no idea the city was so setup.
