is that shady or what? lol

cardboard "screen" with cardboard boxes lol.... hardly look tamper proof to me Then they handle your card after you check it, then they give it back to you to put into said cardboard box??

LOL, a good magician would have a hay day

And I kinda expected some security.... like a cop lol...

yea i was thinking that too, same setup over here. flimsy ass little cardboard box, and then they take your vote, rips some strip off of it, then give it back to you. i was expecting a slightly more private cubicle, and definitely wasnt expecting them to handle your vote before you put it in the box. found that interesting as well.

how do you think the votes are counted? by computer? a lot more people than that are going to handle your vote when the counting goes on. i found the process fine.

You are 35 and you cant even remember when you voted last? I would think for someone so politically opinionated you would be more aware and active in the local political arenas.

Aside from that fact, what did you expect an armed guard ready to shoot the electoral terrorists?

I just came back from voting too and I dunno if it's just the time of day but there weren't very many people at this particular voting station. Convenient for me cause it's RIGHT beside my house!

I've voted in almost every election (provincial, municipal, federal) pretty much as soon as I turned 18 and I found nothing wrong with this process at all. I thought it was a little different when the dude took my ballot back and ripped the barcode off and gave it back to me to put in the ballot box. Also noticed that the baggie he put my barcode in wasn't really in a very secure place so you never know when it comes to tampering I guess.

Yep.... same with me.... I only went cause its exactly on my way to Mcdonalds for lunch (Mount Pleasant Community Centre) lol, absolutely no one else was there. I imagine they are busye morning before work, and after 5:00 pm

They never even had any sign indicating it was a voting station...

Last time I went, I recall it being at some school....

Seeing as Toma hasn't even spent half of his 35 years living in Canada, that doesn't really mean much.

The barcode is only to prevent counterfeit ballots. The barcode is then thrown away so that no one can accuse Elections Canada of tracking who voted for who.

LOL....yes I have.... made it here when I was 7

Voting in Alberta is basically a waste of time.... the conservatives could adopt a nazi schwaztika as their symbol and they would still win here lol...

Why? You afraid of someone with an education AND life experience here and abroad forming an opinion?
