Looks like the fire sale in St Louis continues. First Sillinger, now Weight (who had to waive his no trade clause). Who could be next? Tkachuk, McAmmond, Weinrich, or Lalime?

Calgary is still rumoured to be in the hunt for Owen Nolan, as well as being mentioned as looking for a back up goaltender. Here are the following possibilites being discussed online:

-Raycroft
-Lalime
-Noronen
-Roloson
-Toskala
-McLennan

I personally would love to see McLennan back in a Flames jersey.

theres no way Sutter wouldve even thought about giving away Phaneuf for Weight. Look who went the other way on the trade. Mike Zigomanis, Jesse Boulerice, Magnus Kahnberg and a first round pick? I've never even heard of those 3 guys. All of them combined have barely played as much as 1 full time guy.

Wow! That is a great trade for the Blues. I can see why the Flames lost out on Weight. Sutter would never give up all those draft pics for a player he could sign over the summer without compensation. Still I hope that they can get a decent playmaking center before the deadline.
