    Default gas mileage on prelude

I've had my car parked for a little while now but I sometimes take it for spin around my block just to have it running. But i've noticed that my gas is always lower then when I parked it. I've been getting horrible gas mileage (i.e. 140kms on 24litres of gas). Something must be wrong with my car. Does anyone know what it can be?? Should I take it to honda for them to have a look at it?

oh yeah it's 4 gen srv
    Thanks for your help

You'll get shitty gas mileage on a car that's stored because when you take for a spin around the block, the engine never warms up to its peak operating temperature. Also, if you warm it up before going around the block, that will drop your fuel economy too.

You should wait until after it is taken out of storage before you evaluate your gas mileage.

Isnt the Air/fuel mixture sensor thingy (Oxygen sensor?) a good thing to check when you're getting bad fuel mileage? Im sure ill get flamed for this post but whatever

Is it auto or manual? Not saying you would do this, but I know some guy who revs ridicolously high and gets really shitty mileage. That still shouldn't be making your mileage so bad, but it adds to the problem. Still 140km on your tank. That's ~5.83 km/L, I get 6 km/L on my Jimmy and I drive it really hard (considering its a v6, 4.3L and is driven always in 4x4 versus your 2.2L 4 cylinder). Check your fuel filter and 02 sensor. There's no way a n/a 4 cylinder should be getting such horrid gas mileage.

even when i was driving it as a daily car, if i babied it for the full tank i got about 450km. I think i should be getting at around 500-520km. Should i be worried?

Seriously most are not accurate or very good, but I have the Apex Turbo timer which has the A/F in number increments, I feel that it is fairly accurate not great but better than Autometer, Autometer A/F guages are notorious for being inaccurate and malfunctioning very easily
