The Calgary Flames have traded centre Steven Reinprecht and backup goaltender Philippe Sauve to Phoenix in exchange for goaltender Brian Boucher and left wing Mike Leclerc.
Leclerc played in 35 games with the Coyotes this season posting 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) and 29 penalty minutes. The 6’2” 208 lbs. left winger has posted 153 points (63 goals, 90 assists) and 280 penalty minutes in 326 NHL career games with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Coyotes.
The 29 year-old native of Winnipeg, MB was drafted in the third round, 55th overall, by the Mighty Ducks in the 1995 Entry Draft.
Boucher played in 11 games with the Coyotes this season posting A 3-6-0 record with a 3.87 GAA. The 6’2” 198 lbs. goaltender has a 74-83-30 record with 12 shut-outs and a 2.71 in 199 NHL career games with the Philadelphia Flyers and the Coyotes. The 29 year-old native of Woonsocket, RI was drafted in the first round, 22nd overall, by the Flyers in the 1995 Entry Draft.
