I got a wireless internet connectino in my home and just wanted to know why the secondary computer's wireless internet connections disconnects when the basement phone rings?

Is the phone a 2.4GHz cordless? If it is, then it's because wireless and the 2.4 GHz phone are interfering. Try changing the channel on your wireless, or going to an old school 900 MHz or 5.8 GHz phone.

You can try different channels on your router, see if that helps a bit.

I would get intermittent disconnects from my wireless even after changing the channel on both the wireless router and the phone. There's really not much more you can do about it, although some phones "bleed" into the other channels less than others. I just got frustrated with the disconnects that I just went out and got a 5.8GHz phone.
