I was wondering what most of you do with it.
I have been reading that some people take them out to reduce weight, for quicker starts and better gas mileage.
Leave it in the back
Take it out
I have a spare tire?

For the little amount of performance gains it doesn't make sense to take it out permanently. But if you were to go to a track day or some other racing event. I woud take it out once I got there, and put it back in once I was done.
i say if you have AMA, then why not
leave the donut in.. you'll regret it when you have to call ama when it's -20 and they are an hour behind.. plus.. ama doesnt bring you a tire... they tow your car.. so you still gotta get the tire changed anyways.... for the weight of the tire, tell your gf to lose 15 lbs and it evens out.
I am going to be taking mine out because i added the system

There is no point of taking it out , unless your going to be tracking or racing. Performance gains? No. Better gas? Yah right lol
It doesnt weigh to much , and with all the construction going on around the city , its easy to get a flat.

the cheapest way to increase times at the track is weight reduction. take 'er out! also gets in the way for stealth stereo installs
dude, maybe if you took out your whole interior except the drivers seat and the dash would it make a difference. anyways, you never know when your going to get a flat and the last thing you want is to be put in that situation without a spare.Originally posted by fendercontender

i took it out at the track and ran the same time as i did when i had it in.
take it out at the track, but leave it in for normal driving. After all, never know when you will need it.
its there for a reason. leave it alone
Leave it in.
ok, so you are talking about taking it out for weight reduction.. then you say it gets in the way for a stealth stereo install?Originally posted by fendercontender

if you are worried about weight, why would you take out the spare, and add more weight witha sub?
