Back in september Bell was offering a deal to U of C students (likely other students as well) for a pretty good price. $22.00 for a pretty good plan and since I only had 2 months left on my Telus plan I called up to cancel. Ended up being forwarded to the Loyalty Dept and after much discussion got a plan with Telus for another 3 years (been with them for 6 now) and it's pretty good
    Base
    $25.00
    200 anytime minutes
unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6
$0.05 a minute long distance anywhere in Canada
caller id, call forward, voice email
text messaging (something who knows how many)
and the licensing fee of course of 6.95 per month or something

for Telus! my bill is regularly under $40.00 now and I use it far too much for long distance and it stays nice and cheap

    Acutally yeah...bunny and a calendar...

when my contract was up for renewal recently...after being with telus for 5 years and CLEARnet for 2...I got this...

    40 a month...evenings and weekends free starting at 6.
700 daytime mins...and 100 mins a mth of LD in Canada.
caller ID, call waiting and voicemail 10

and for an additional 5 a month...unltd text messaging...and a new phone at aquisition pricing...but because I opted NOT to get the phone I am happy with my lil LG 4600...I got 6 months of unlimited calling versus the 3 months I should have gotten when signing up for a 2 year contract...

It's a hit and miss with Telus. Before the RAZR came out, they kept hounding me every 2 months for the last 3 years giving me their top phones (which are crappy ones I dont line) for free. So I kept my v60 and held out till the RAZR came out. Once the RAZR came out, they gave me nothing. LOL.

Waited all this time for nothing. So lame. 2 year contract signed, once it expires, taking my # elsewhere to get nicer phones.

my contract just expired 2 days ago and i tried to get them to give me the razr but they offered me a free v710 or LG 125 on a 3 year term, but i that's what customer sevice offered. i'm going ot try calling telus' loyalty department and see what they can do. can us telus users keep our number now if we move to another provider?

telus is okay i must admit i love the service but i hate the cdma part. we can't get latest phones and what not, and their plans are pricy compared to others.
