I was told today by a guy from blackfoot motorsports that in cali, when on the highway you can pass two cars between them if your on a bike and its legal.

    Anyone know anything of this?Zypher?

Sure try doing it but good luck!!
It's not worth doing, given how many cars are there.

its called lane splitting and its legal some places, but i dont think its legal in canada.

it is legal in cali, florida, texas and a bunch of the southern states, and a couple of the northern states, but last time i checked, its very illegal in alberta, BC, and ontario

I believe it's only legal there when the cars are stopped (ie. red light).

because you can get to the front of the line, and since your on a motorbike, which is much much faster than a street car, you can easily break free of the traffic and find your own space.

Yup seems more reasonable, because it wouldn't be that great doing it when the cars are moving fast!

    Default Stupid

Why would anyone in there mind let something like that stay legal. Even trying that sounds retarded. When you get into an accident and you slam into the two vehicles you will be just that...Retarded

It's like the Black Prince everyday. (for those of you who don't know of the Black Prince then you should check out his highspeed tank cam vid.)

its not bad at all when the cars are stopped, just gotta have some confidence and riding ability.

and no, i havent driven in cali, just florida and done it a couple times with friends here in edmonton.

and no, you dont do this at 100 kph, more like 20 or so, just roll right up to the head of the jam, then rip on it and GTFO.
