What are all the shows this year? SCN and DTP.... anything else?

People want shows but moan about the price.

There would be more shows, more cars, more girls if people gave more support. Tough province.

i think it's not a problem with support.

throw a good show together advertise it well and you will get people there. People here are just looking for something better the shows i've seen in the last 2-3 years have been small poorly advertised and the layout of cars on the space used was horrible.

I think it's too late to change any of that this year but next year we need at least one show outside. We need more businesses to come out ans showcase actual parts with show prices to attract new customers. I'm not talking about tint or alarm system places. I'm talking about shoaib from jdm with like 7-8 engines on showcase. speedtech, cms, custom auto, auto dream, mopac and such with like 20-30 parts on showcase with at least one car in a real booth. I know its more money but you gotta spend money to make money.

cms could have some tuned used cars from the dealership on showcase ready to make deals there. WE need more then 1 big sponsor. something like toyo then like ford gm toyota and honda. also something like alpine or pioneer. We also need places that offer services like toma and tecmotion. some places that are putting driving schools and next rally events. we need a big stage with girls a good rap artist some good music and entertainment.

For an outside event we need an autocross layout and a dyno.

Just a few ideas that i think would make our shows much better i have a ton more but let me know what you guys think!

True enough... but IMO like Mr_ET said there has to be more value and entertainment in the show for people to justify $x.xx to go I guess.

Why was there less cars and people at SCN this year than last years show?

There are TONS of Calgary cars that should have been in that show that were nowhere to be seen, whats up with that? People with all these "show" cars just decide to not show or what?

It's a vicious circle, people want more entertainment and eye candy at the shows, but the venues need more people to enter their cars to be able to bring in more entertainment. Costs a shitload of money to bring a show to town and they cant bring in SEMA size stuff if they cant break even.
