you might be right, it all depends on the person who buys it, if they got the $$$$ then aftermarket is way to go.. I still luv the idea that such fast cars and well tune cars are off the line with warranty..

im sure rage2 agrees on this one =]

That fucking slut needs to die! That makes me very angry
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Come on guys, I love the car as much as anyone else but the "kill the bitch" comments are a bit much!

The story was originally posted on the EvolutionM forums and although it sucks to lose the car, at least people there are supportive and GLAD THAT SHE IS OKAY TOO.

far from a beast, but a cool and probably somewhat fun torqueless wonder.
(torqueless and fun is not the most natural combination of words however..haha)

last time i checked rotaries aren't really that torqueless...rx-8 has 159 lb. ft. @ 5500 rpm, hp peaks at 8500 rpm...so redline must be in the 9s...all the torque is there by mid rev and theres quite a bit of it...not stump pulling cavalier torque...but definetly not a "torqueless wonder"

    uhh....
you call 159 lb ft alot of torque?
i call that leaning to the anemic side.

i've driven an s2k and from what i've heard, the rx8 feels very similar. And THAT my friend, is what i call a torqueless wonder.
Never said its not fun to drive, just would be a hell of alot more fun with some torque (my friend has driven the rx8 and tells me the exact same thing).

the s2k's max torque 153 is produced at 7500...the rx-8 will kick u in the pants earlier at least, and give you a bit more meaty of a powerband...so you can test drive rx-8s now?

Yes I think they are in the dealerships already. I've seen a few ads for them. Not a bad performing car for under 40k, but not really the nicest looking car either.

I was told that the alotments of RX-8's are sold out until past August. I don't think you'll be able to find an RX-8 on a lot to bag. If you do, you have to let us know which dealership!

Found the first EVO VIII drag results. 12.5@112 on 93 octane. This is with a 3" cat-back, boost controller and S-AFC. Pretty sweet for $1200 in mods.

Not bad for a "four door".
