Sheet aluminum - where to get?

My new ride needs a deadpedal. I plan to make one out of sheet aluminum and nonskid tape - others have done the same thing and it doesn't look too ghetto if done right. Where in town is a good place to pick up a small sheet, and what's the easiest way to cut it? (I can get ahold of a coping saw and I've got a rotary tool.)

best place to check is the metal supermarket just north of glenmore and off barlow in the SE right behind the CAT rentals, and they can do cuts for you right there.
