JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Payroll Operations, this position is responsible for: running processes to calculate and confirm payroll, assisting in clearing payroll errors and exceptions, identifying issues with employees’ pay and resolving them, generating and distributing ad hoc and scheduled reports, assisting with testing table and program changes (running test pays), assisting with system issues, inputting payroll adjustments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Related post-secondary diploma, degree or equivalent experience is required.
-Completion of Level II of the Canadian Payroll Association Management Certificate program is preferred.
-Post-secondary computer courses or equivalent experience is required.
-5 years experience working in a computerized environment including interfaces is required.
-Minimum 3 to 5 years of payroll experience is preferred.
-Experience working in a large unionized environment is preferred.
-Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills are required.
-Performs with a high level of accuracy using discretion and integrity.
-Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
-Perform day-to-day analytical procedures in a professional team environment.
-Ability to meet deadlines while working under time constraints.
