Maybe some aren't so big on IRL but...anybody catch the race on TV. I watched in horror as his car was ripped to peices. A tragic accident indeed.

he died during the pratice. man its horrible. Makes me remember the day when Moore died...
RIP
It was a brutal crash, and like Mclaren said, in practice.
As a result his whole team withdrew from the race.
RIP
For those who didn't see the horrific crash, basically one car hits the wall at the outside of a turn and crosses back down sideways across the track, another car coming full speed on the inside part of the turn t-bones the first car. Both airlifted in critical condition.

Sorry. Practice it was.
I say they should have cancelled the race.
Moore's accident was brutal, but at least he was all alone.
What's strange in this one is the spotter did make him aware of the incident.
Remember Zanardi's accident...slips out onto the track and Tagliani clips him at full speed. Sure, Zanardi lost his legs, but at least he's alive.
You never know...how about Brayton's accident. Never figured he'd die in that one...but he did. Racing at those speeds is just plain dangerous...they all know it. They all live for it, and they all know they can die at any moment.
Still...
This is very sad.
The spotter told him to stay low on the track, he followed the instructions, there is nothing he could have done about it.
Yeah I saw the highlight today on TSN, what a brutal crash. TSN even gave a disclaimer warning people that it would be graphic.

Sad...
Sounds like it was a Tagliani/Zanardi type crash...
The risk you take when you compete at this level, I guess. Still, sad to hear about it.
i saw this on tsn too, nasty crash
RIP
I only saw the end of the race, which was about as cinematic as one could ask for. It's tragic that this had to happen beforehand.
"Oh yeah! Plus, armed men are stealing my pop!"
