"Its because they're stupid, that's why. That's why everyone does everything."
I think that the 2003s come with HIDs while older one didnt...
Hmm. Did they have HIDs available on the celicas now?
The trd package looks damn nice though.

Yup, new 2003 GT-S's have fuel cut set back to 8350rpm.
So the only nasty celica's are the 2002's.
There's a Red GT, 01 if im not Mistaken, with the TRD Package. Its got like, white hood decals + Italian Flag decal under the GT at my school...
The TRD Package is alright, but a little ricey for my tastes...

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
Due to the massive amount of newbie drivers buying up 00-01 6spd Celica's, they began misshifting the poor suckers like no tommorrow. Toyota's began to warranty the engines...thus screwing themselves nicely.
Their solution for the 2002 model was to bring the fuel cut down to 7800rpm's from 8350. I guess they figured that way the car wouldnt be driven so hard...thus somehow eliminating the misshifts. Well, needless to say it made the car significantly slower...since we have a "peaky" powerband as it is.
Enough people complained...a couple of articles were written in some big mags about it, and now...Toyota has brought back the original fuel cut off.
Still, the 2002 people are somewhat screwed...unless they buy a 00-01 ECU and a couple of other things to bring their fuel cut to spec.
hehe, dont tell your mom thatOriginally posted by IRL
