    Default parking lot accident

ok a school cop was chasing me and my friend and we all hopped in to my car and the other car and we both tried to drive off, i then backed into the other guys car, no serious damage, just wondering, is it 50/50 liability in the parking lot ?

hahaha why were u running?, pretty sure its 100% ur fault. its only 50/50 if both drivers are moving they're cars at teh same time and both being equally ignorant of whats going on in the parking lot when they collide.

at your age, you can expect to pay 100/100 . i.e. you'll both pay through the teeth for insurance until you wish that you never made a claim.

LOL! Let me get this straight. You guys were running away from a COP. AND THEN...You and your friend both got into your cars and backed into each other?? lol that gave me a good laugh.

Now, if you both backed up into each other, then you're both at fault... but really, you two should just tape a huge 'dumbass' sign to your forehead at school. Why were you running from a cop

This makes my work day go by faster when starting work at 4:45am.

Anyhoo, if it's not serious, don't go through insurance. Im going to assume your young and your insurance will definately go up if you claim it no matter what percentage it is.

Grow up, save some money and fix it yourself. Learm from your mistakes. And god damit, running from the COPS, WTF?? school cop or what ever, when you get more mature you will realize how dumb that is and it's definately not cool.

if its ur friend i think u 2 should avoid insurance,
    a)because ur young
    b) because 50/50 accidents benefit the insurance company in the end, u both will end up paying much more in the end.
    c) whoevers payin for the accident is likely ur parents, and i'd feel very sorry for them if they're insurance premium jumps up cuz u and ur friend were idiots and decided to run away from cops @ a highschool. cudnt u guys just sign in at the office? not tough to do

Insurance rules are generally as follows:

    1. 100% your fault if you hit a parked or stationary vehicle (that isn't pulling out of their stall)

    2. 50%/50% if both vehicles were moving.

    You are screwed buddy.

If there's not a lot of damage, prolly best bet is for you guys to go 50/50 out of pocket.

it's a 20% jump for ur insurance rates based off the grid system.
plus telling them that you're running away from a cop isn't gonna help much either.

    geez... kids these days.
