looks pretty good so far , u should check the specs for the subs cause some subs are better with a port and some are better sealed. hope that helps

if your gonna use that amp, your should get a ported box. if you are gonna get a more powerful amp, then sealed would be better.

Yeah, I was going to say something similar to HACHIROKU_4AG. Those subs have a chance of blowing that amplifier, considering at peak, being 500W, they may blow the amplifier. The easier it is for the subs to work, the less power they'll need, and the less strain they'll put on your amplifier.

I would go with a ported box until you get a more powerful amplifier. Then either a sealed enclosure, or a bandpass box.

But again, it all depends on what those subs sound best in. Maybe if you can, experiment with some different setups.

ya i was gonna use that amp for a bit, I think im gonna get a ported box wit a square port. How many watts do u think i will be able to run to each sub? 225-250 or so?

Im not bridging it, its a 2 channel amp so i dont have to. I think i am letting IllusionSir (forum name) hook it all up for me and build me a box, he knows what hes doing and I trust him so that works out well.

You'll be fine with that amp. I had the same setup (still have that exact amp), but I had to get rid of my 10 MTX 6000s cuz they sucked so bad.

6000s aren't the greatest but, they hold up for their price.

Wait for the 9500 when they come out in sept...

lol just the thing i want to hear, they suck so bad. I know there not great, but i was on a budget and i wanted something so they seemed good for the dollar. The greatest part of all though is i got a 2 year warranty from future shop on them, and it includes sub replacement if i blow them, future shop has got some balls for doing that. Now the good part, MTX's new subs come out pretty soon, and i bought the last 2 of my model, so if i blow them they either have to give me next years model, or give me a better model of this years

You're joking when you guys said that these subs are good for the money right ???

Sorry to say, but MTX has the shittiest and most overpriced subs on the planet. You cannot tell me that these were the best subs you could buy for ~$175/each now...Hell, I got rid of my mtx subs for one 12" pioneer, and i'm way happier than I was before.

For $25 more, you could have picked up a Type R sub...

btw - I dont think all of MTX's subs are bad...I love the 8000 series, and can't wait for the 9500 that are coming out, but even the 8000 is about 300+...wayyy overpriced, when you can grab a Type R that would be just as good for a lot cheaper.

Not the best you can buy, but the best sub in the 200 dollar range hands down.
