I am SOOOO glad the flames are losers Now I don't have to be inundated by 12 year old wanna be rednecks waving flames flags at every bus stop.

what do you care if some kids are having fun? in many countries, 12 year olds are waving AK's. Id say you have it pretty good...

You don't think that the sports rivalry spawned from the two cities hating eachother and not the other way around? Boston and New York don't hate eachother just because of the Yankees and Red Sox, Newfoundland doesn't hate Nova Scotia because of..well...the Mooseheads and Fog Devils I guess now.

Gotta give you your due, Edmonton played a hell of a first series. Better than Calgary did.

I don't feel so bad that Calgary lost to Anaheim considering Bryzgalov has had 2 shut outs since.

I think people just don't like the fact that THE MEDIA, dubbed it a name similar to what the media dubbed our 17th.

Most of us are pulling for the Oil to win. You'd be surprised. The only thing that concerns us is the lack of female's down on Whyte. You guys better do something about that (and take pics) or else it's going to be known as the Whyte (Sausage) Mile.

The current oilers have 0 stanley cups. What do people that played over a decade and a half ago have to do with the current teams? :P By that logic, Toronto is better than both of us, and we all know that isnt the case

And Oilers have only won it 3 times in the past. Wtf are you talking about 5?

Did you see point 2? Edmonton is still playing hockey and Calgary isn't. Therefore they are better since they still have a chance at adding a sixth Stanley Cup.

Your second statement about the Oilers 3 Stanley Cups proves how little you know about hockey. Don't worry you guys will find another excuse to head down to 17th to celebrate. CFL is starting soon or maybe McCarty will win the Elbow Poker tourney.

Well, since you're coming off as an ass, Yes you have the Oilers in the Playoffs, awesome. After this you have Klondike days, and then nothing will happen in your toilet of a town until next Klondike days. Repeat

Actually my toilet of a town is Calgary. So it looks like you're in the shitter with me.

Not trying to be an ass. Just saying it how it is.

Oops, they do have 5, nevermind. Point still stands though, current team has 0.

Your first statement there is completely invalid though. You fail at logic Now, back to watching them lose to the sharks!

I just don't get it. Calgary does things first, then Edmonton copies it and suggets that their version is by far superior. The 'Whyte Mile" isn't even close to Rexall, is it? Klondike Days is one thing, but the Whyte Mile is a pretty big stretch Edmontonians.

And yeah, I wanted to support the Oilers after Calgary got knocked out, but the amount of "omfgflames suck" I got after Calgary lost just turned me right off cheering for the same team as people like that do

^You do realize that Edmonton had an NHL team before Calgary right?

Ummm you're crazy. Calgary is a much nicer city then Edmonton. Hardly what I would dare say is a toilet.
