Default good brake ducts...better brake ducts???

when making brake ducts, I've seen people put vacuum hoses leading do the center of the brake rotor
And I've seen people just put a tube that blows air into the wheel well

Obviously the vacuum hose way will be better but does the "hole in the wheel well" method work just as well???

    say speeds are around 70-90km/h

    here are examples:

The high temp flex hose is what the professionals use, It won't get ripped off because it's mounted and tied to the control arm

I'm going to a driving school with OEM pads
If this mod is something that'll help prevent me from changing brake pads 1/2 way into the course, it's a couples hours & a few bucks I'm willing to spend

if your pads are recently new, you should be able to last with them, brake ducts help to cool the disc therefore allowing more heat transfer into the disc due to the friction of braking, you will see minimal results with it in terms of reduction in pad where. However under braking you should have less fade. Also the straights at RC are very long plenty of time to cool them on the straights before the next hard braking ie: at the end of the strights!!!

there are other methods other than "the hole in the wheel well method" also

you can have a fin on the underbody perpendicular to the rotor to direct air to the rotors (I think some cars come stock with those little fins). It should be more effective since the air isn't interrupted going through the bumper and wheelwells... plus it goes directly to the side of the rotor instead of to the front of the rotor where the wheel is blocking when not turning.

    thanks again guys

RG60: straights @ RC = good cooling = makes sense!!! (you can tell i'm being lazy)

MonsterHui: that's a good option as well (perpendicular), i'll keep that in mind

& i've decided to skip the brake ducting, being my first time & having some stock brake ducts already (have some, crappy but better than nothing) i dont think i'll be pushing my car hard enough to NEED them
an extra set of pads, but not the ducts
