Does that mean that Safeway gas stations will have Top Tier gasoline as well?

I notice a difference in some gas. With either petro-Can or shell I get better gas mileage than when I fill up at Esso. I used to fill up at the Esso on McLeoad trail near Glenmore but I always got worse mpg. It was very consistant.

For a car enthusiast board I'm surprised at how many people chose number 2. I would have thought that with all the money and time spent on things to do with their vehicles the people on this board would care more about their fuel.

I voted #3 but it wasn't in the '90s it was in '03 and it was a Focus SVT. Killed the whole fsu and may have damaged the engine from running lean even though it was a short period of time. Also caused alot of detonation in my dad's '01 Dakota 3.9l V6 the one time it was run on Shell. The truck has felt weak since.

Husky/Mohawk is all I use when in the city. If I can't get it I use Petro or Esso.

As long as no one is filling up at "Fast-Gas"(thier gas is the lowest grade gasoline made to meet regulations), then the rest are all personal preference. I fill up at Extra foods, cause its shell gasoline and I get "Extra Buck" back.

A lot of gas companies use the same base fuel anyhow, but they add thier own additives to "make it theirs".

I used to use PetroCan all the time but the last time I checked my fuel sock in my drop in fuel pump it was nasty as fuck after only a short time. I switched to Shell and for some reason it seems like the car runs better on it. Of course this could all be in my head.

I usally get about an extra 50 kms on a tank with shell for some reason. Husky gives me the worst mileage by far.

Shit, for a second, I thought Top Tier meant ethanol blended and was excited, but this is just some other stupid gimmick.

slightly OT, is there anywhere to get E85 in calgary?

I think Husky's gas is cloest to E85. But if E85 is anything like Husky's gas, no thanks. WORST mileage ever.

Doesn't your engine have to be designed for E85? I know for sure it'll void my car's warranty because my owner's manual dictates that no more 15% Ethanol.

You need to make some changes, but the effective octane is so high and the gas so reasonably priced it would pay for itself pretty quick I think.
