    Default microsoft excel???

    Does anyone no how to take a microsoft excel file that was e-mailed to me and change it from a read only, so that i can work in it? I saved it to disk but now it will still only open as read only. Is it possible to change it? i copied and past into a new spread but i have to go in a change a whole lot of stuff and takes so long....

    right click on the file go properties and uncheck read only click ok..should work now
