XBOX 360 Hard Drive questions??

Recently purchased the Xbox core 360 thinking i could dump in a 40gig hard drive i have kicking around home. Is this possable?
Looking for someone to point me in the right direction.

the hdd inside is sata, if you had the enclosure you could, but without enclosure and a sata drive no luck
