    Post Looking at an infinity

I was looking at a 93 infinity G20, very nice looking car ... unfortunatly i have no idea about infinity track records ... ie) faulty parts, major problems ect... I was wondering if anyone had any information about these cars ... i have been cruzing around the 'net and i can't seem to find anything ... any information would be very much appreciated.

Never had one, but their reputation seems very good. High end luxury vehicles, the highest repeat buyer distinction, can't really go wrong...

I own a 2000 Infiniti G20t (my old car; haven't sold it yet) and I haven't had any problems with it. I find that it is very reliable and that Infiniti has really good service for their vehicles. I would definitely recommend it. The 93' ones are really nice. I didn't know they still had '93's cause I thought they were discontinued in '92. Oh well...nice car nonetheless.

    What is the asking price?

Oh and another thing...my brother had a '97 QX4 and he had lots of problems with it. He spent a few G's in repairs so I'm not sure if different models have different reliabiility. From people I have known with other G20's though, there have been no problems. They are good quality cars.

I sat in Gspot's G35 today.... if I ever wanted a sedan...that would be it!!! Its SOOOO comfortable, even the back seat is reclinable!!! That machine got a lot of juice too, 260 hp to boot, seem like a lot of fun to drive too, that sport shift works pretty well, a bit delay but very smooth!! All in all I was very impress by the infinity.

lol I will have to remember that ... so I don't look as retarded ...

Yeah anyway ... on the window it says '93 ... I could be mistaken though ... and it has 160,100 k's and the beige leather (in immac condition) and the paint is perfect ... it was owned by an elderly couple who would use it to drive to their cabin in the states and that's basically all it was used for ... I don't know though their asking $9,900 o.b.o.

I'm not too good with market prices.

I do know that Infiniti has a clear coat on their cars so it's extra shiny and makes the paint job shimmer. What color is the exterior?

It's a deep green ... I love the dash styling ... it's so ahead of it's time .. it looks like a 2000 passat dash I just don't want my vision to be clouded with only it's exterior ... it's the interior that will cost money to fix.

There are a few G20 fan sites. You should visit them. One of them is www.g20style.com . They might have more information that you are looking for.

I think the '93 G20's can be done up nicely...but that's it...just "look" nice. It is not the car for you if you want a performance car in terms of torque or hp. I love the handling and comfort.

The car is known for good handling, although it is underpowered. The SR20 isn't really powerful enough for a car that size. You could always do an SR20DET swap

The older G20s are some of the unknown enthusiasts cars. They handle and stop very well in stock condition, though they are a bit underpowered. You can get a lot out of them though (they share a lot of parts with the Sylvia). I'm not quite sure what that car should be going for, but $10k sounds like a pretty good deal, given the relative rarity of the car and the high initial sticker price.

Oh yeah, its possible the car came up from the states. They kept selling the G20 down there though they stopped up here. Kelley Blue Book values for a used '93 are between $7k-8k USD, so $10k cdn is a pretty good deal IMO.

Infiniti is the luxury line of Nissan. Nissan reliability is very good so your should probably expect the same out of infiniti.

Infiniti is great and the service is comparable to Lexus.
