    Default buying from 1010tires.com

I'm considering buying from them but I see that they ship ups ground. From my experience I get a hefty brokerage fee when it hits the border if the shipper uses ups. Has anyone gotten tires from these guys before? can anyone give me an idea of what to expect in brokerage fees?

1010tires is a canadian company. There should be no brokerage. They should be shipping out of the lower mainland.

I just bought some tires from them and i'll never do it again.

First off, the tires I ordered weren't in stock and took 14 days to arrive at their warehouse. They told me 3 days after I paid them that this delay was the problem.

Then, I paid for priority shipping but they sent them to me regular shipping (another 5 days). Finally, they did not refund me the difference between priority shipping and regular shipping.

On the bright side, no brokerage but their prices aren't THAT great (still better than buying from a local store however).

How much is brokerage though really, withthe dollar as strong as it is you must be better of buying from the US and paying brokerage...on a set of tires its what like 150? A set of wheels and tires like 250?

^ u dont pay it ordering from canadian sites.

and u have to think like this even tho the exchange is good right now, those places still get the wheels from us companies for cheap so since the dollar is high cdn places can lower prices so all in all its the same but free shipping and will get here faster

I just got a pair of speakers from the states $60...paid $20 for shipping, he sent it ups and I got a $40 bropkerage fee from bankers dispatch (company that prokers for ups when it hits the border)

The brokerage fee includes the duty but the duty is only a few bucks....the brokerage fee is what the company charges you to ship it from the border...so essentially you are paying for shipping twice from two separate companies...its retarded

^ I agree that sucks and it seems as though you get just wasted by brokerage when dealing with less expensive items but what about larger items like a set of rims and tires, there's not way they are gonna charge you $1500 in brokerage for something like that...
