I've called a few guys through the yellow pages and they seem rather annoyed. Must be that time of the year
You guys have any recommendations on anyone who does great work in a reasonable time for a reasonable price?

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
Been having the same problem trying to get someone to build a deck. They usually just tell me to call them back next year
go to rona or home depot and sit in on one of their seminars.
You can rent the tools you need from them.
My father and I built a 8'x16' deck on a long weekend. A fence should be even easier.

Built a beauty this weekend, you need one take charge guy, one guy that half knows what he's doing, and a couple of drones that take good directions....Got the materials from Totem, they have a few patterns to choose from
and beers, lots of beers.Originally posted by aaronck

(but make sure you don't bring the beers out until around lunch time or you'll end up with a half built deck and a bunch of drunk guys passed out on the grass )
Do you have the posts already in? That's 75% of the work right there.

they do the majority of the fencing in calgary for landscapers and residential areas.
It is a reliable place to go to. Thats all they do.
I used to landscape, and they always were the main people to contact for fencing.
Hope it helps

If you do hire someone just get them to do the posts with the machine they have then get some beers and friends and put it up no problemo.Originally posted by Weapon_R

What kind of fence are you looking to have built?
Looking here too. I tried doing the premade panel thing, and hired a guy to do it, but his method of NOT cementing the posts in the postholes, and just packing in the dirt around them, did NOT work, even though the postholes were 4ft. deep. I think he mentioned he was from Newfoundland
Pm me contact info, Ill ask my boss if he wants to take the job...
