Writing and reciting poetry in front of the class was pretty fun, especially if the teacher would let you dress up/act/etc.

I think when I was in grade 6 we teamed up with a third grade class and made up various poems for an anthology. I still have it, and MAN did we make some ghey poems! But i remember it being fun!
I just remember writing rhyming couplets, haiku, etc. (Which is EXACTLY the same thing I just did in my Winter Semester French course!
