May 27 - Charity Car Wash - Come One! Come All!

Ok, now that I have your attention, I would like to inform you of a charity car wash occurring this Saturday, May 27 at 12pm and will run until there are no more cars to clean!

It is occurring at 150-50th Avenue SE (just across from the big Enmax building). For those who have European cars, you might know this location as the home of Auto-Trend. That said, all cars are more than welcome. Let's raise as much money as possible!

The fee for a wash is $10 and if you want the interior vacuumed tack on another $5. ALL proceeds will be going to the Alberta Cancer Foundation for the research of breast cancer.

Please come down with your family and friends to support this great cause. The more cars the better!

Alright, well... we tried. Shutting the wash down now. Had about 6 or 7 cars show up, which was OK but would have loved more. We are determined to do this again on a much warmer day, so keep your eyes posted for another announcement. We have some photos of the cars we did wash, I will try and post a few later.

What about doing it on Friday June 9th in the early evening? This is the night before DTP. Have it set up in the Olympic Oval parking lot. You would make a killing! I'd pay 10 bucks thats fo sure!

Sorry Rob. My friend's wedding and decor clean up afterwards took us until 4ish, so I wasn't able to drop by. Sorry! Hope it will work out for next time. It's certainly a great idea.

I liked the suggestion about having it at the Oval, but keep in mind that that is the final day for convocations (I have my convo at 2pm that day, which will probably run into 5pm with picture taking), and traffic will be insane right outside the Oval up to then (which I guess is a good thing).

Was this down in lakeview? If so I saw you guys while I was driving by. Good on you for standing out in 4 degree rain for charity. Sorry I didn't stop, but I had to be on the water in 5 minutes.
