She was talking all this shit about the memberships and whatever...I think it comes out to around 550-650 or something a year...better than the YMCA by a lot...I dunno, she's really nuts about it...i was thinking about getting a temp membership when i get on break.

I've been a member there since '99. I paid for 2 years up front in a $700 lump sum. Decent hours at the Sunridge location. The one at North Hill closes an hour earlier. The Southland location used to open 24 hours on weekdays and there's one on 37th St SW at used to be a Safeway store.

My basic cheapo membership doesn't allow me access to the Edgemont club or the downtown location.

Check them out. Most clubs will give you at least a one-week free trial membership.

my roommate worked there, he says don't settle for anything more than zero down, $49 per month . he says that any "down payment" that salesmen get out of you is theirs, thats how they get paid.

    World Health Club North Hill?

They have nicer lockers and change room than Golds gym Northland. That's it.
Everything else is better at Golds.

I've had the privledge to use both facilities and I think Gold's is a way better gym. At Gold's compared to World Health, there are way less muscle heads. Gold's also has better equipment and the facilities are awesome.
Membership at Gold's is around $480. You could also give it a try for a week. Problem is that you need a week pass and usually they don't give those out too much.

I heard it was the other way around. That Gold's is filled with Juicers that don't want to spot to the smaller guys.
