The bag-o-bolts he is offering, judging by the condition of the interior and by burnt pixels, looks more like like having 360K... I wonder if he is actually aware that clocking speedos is a national sport in Germany and I wonder if somebody actually ever buys that...
Japan is the only safe place to buy European exotics, IMHO, provided you do your homework and do not mind having them 15 years old.
What's available right now (wish i had enough cash for all this!) -
E34/32: M50 525, M30535/735 - will not exceed 10-12KCAD (turnkey, certified for AB)
M3/5, Alpina B10 3.5 and Twin-Turbo - anywhere between 15 and 35 KCAD
IMHO, 91 is not the best year for E36, it is worth waiting another year and look at 325 Coupe and again, it should fit into the 10-12 bracket.
For myself I am thinking about a 5 speed 525ix Touring from Europe, if I manage to find a low mileage car, which is close to impossible, the only hope being Switzerland. If I fail that - then starting 2007, M1992 525 Tourings will be available from Japan!
BTW, if anybody is interested in really low mileage Bimmers (and actually any other 15 years + imports) from Japan and (in the future) from Europe (Germany and Switzerland) - you are perfectly welcome to drop me a PM for details...
At the next meet I will show off my Japanese spec 52Kkm 535!
