    Default Wtb: Sti 2004/2005

The WRX vs STI debate has been settled, and I am going STI. I cannot afford new, so I am looking for help.

I have heard that new STI's are cheaper in the US but what about used ones?

You can still find some great deals on used cars in Canada. Just gotta be in the right place at the right time. I have seen some STi's go in the mid 30's.

I have a lead on an '05, with low Kms, I think they want $40 but maybe I'll hold out till they come down into the 30s.

You can get a new 06 STi for around $41-42,000 from the US, so definitely use that to your advantage bargaining.

I gotta remember that, thanks. It is probably my only bargaining chip.

I can't go to the US myself, but no sellers know that.

    what do u mean u can't go US ??

If you buy new .. yeah .. worth to make a trip to US .. and u don't have to worry ab out history etc ..

buying used ... say $25K us .. u can buy a nice used one .. work out to low $30K .. but mid $30K can get a 04 STi here .. and easlier to check the history ..

Time is more important .. flying to US .. search a car, buy one .. and if only save couple thousand dollar .. may not worth to ....

    WHAT? You're selling the STi?

I need to see it before you sell it, I want to see what the drop looks like on those JDM pinks.

Ever since i saw your car at one of the meets I always said to myself that if I had the money I would make an offer on your car. Yours is exactly how I would have picked it from the dealer.

Now I just need to come up with 39K.
